In females, the genital tubercle becomes the clitoris; the genital swellings, the labia majora; and the urethral folds, the labia minora.
The urethral groove and the distal (phallic part of the) definitive urogenital sinus becomes the vestibule (vaginal introitus). The proximal (pelvic part of the) definitive urogenital sinus contributes to formation of the distal urethra and lower vagina.
